A service config is a set of configuation data that defines how a service will operate on your KYC Connect Dashboard server(s).
You can create a Service Config Export from the Services List screen, or from a Service's configuration screen, within the Admin Console.
Service Config Exports are then loaded into the Connect Dashboard running on your own server.
Export From the Services List
From the list of services, you can get a Service Config Export for a single service, or for multiple services that will be hosted on the same Dashboard server.
Select the checkboxes on the left of the list entries for the Service(s) you need, and then click the 'Export Services Config' button above the list.
Export From a Service's Details Screen
This method is useful only if your Dashboard hosts a single KYC Connect Dashboard. See above if you need multiple dashboards.
When viewing the configuration for a service, click the action menu (•••) in the header above the service details tabs, and select Export Service Config.
Using a Service Config Export
When exporting via one of the above methods, you will be shown a block of characters and a Copy button. These characters are the Service Config Export, containing one or more Service Configs.
Click the Copy button to put the character block into your clipboard. Note: The dialog window may then close automatically, or you may need to close it manually.
The Service Config Export can then be pasted into the KYC Connect Dashboard installation script, or saved in a file, or emailed, for later use.
Inactive vs Active Services
As Service Config Exports are intended for use on the customer's server, the status is always 'active' in the exported data, regardless of a service's state shown in the Admin Console.
The Service Config Export is a BASE64 encoded JSON array. As it is input to the Dashboard installation script, be careful not to add any newlines or other whitespace into the character block before pasting it to the script.
The Service Config Export includes your
service name, your
status of the service (always
active) and the
images paths your have configured.
